WORLD RECORD: In his first throw of the 2021 season at the American Track League #1 Indoor Meet, RyanCrouser breaks the World Record of Randy Barnes (1969; 74-04.25) with a toss of 74-10.50

COLLEGIATE RECORD: Athing Mu of Texas A&M breaks an almost 40-year old record in the indoor 600. She runs 1:25.80 to shave .76 seconds off the 1981 time.

Bryce Deadmon of A&M "clocked 32.73 to set the 300m Aggie record, which was also the fifth-best all-time in collegiate history.

Bryson DeBerry of UTA breaks the school's (and his own) indoor high jump mark, now at 7-03.

Jasmine Moore - Mansfield Lake Ridge / University of Georgia - triple jumps to #2 in the country: 44-11.75

Junior Malik Pratt set a (Hardin-Simmons) Cowboy record in the 600m, breaking the mark he previously set with a new time of 1:23.45. Ethan Ramirez ran a 1:28 in the 600m.

Monae Nichols' 22-01.75 long jump (Texas Tech) moves her to #1 in the world

Gabe Oladipo of Texas Tech (Fort Bend Hightower) sets the school record in the weight throw at 72-09.75

"Tripp Piperi produced the highlight performer of the day, as he extended his NCAA lead with a personal-best 21.12m effort in the men's shot put. Piperi, the 2019 NCAA Outdoor national champion in the event, joined 2016 Olympic gold medalist Ryan Crouser as the only Longhorns to hit the 21-meter mark indoors in the shot put.

"All-American sprinter Kynnedy Flannel clocked a 23.09 (200), the No. 2 mark in the NCAA and the world this season, en route to victory.

"All-American jumper/hurdler Tara Davis soared past the field en route to a victory in the women's long jump. Davis, the American junior world-record holder in the event, cleared an indoor collegiate-best 6.56m/21-6.25 to pick up her first win of the season. It was the No. 2 mark in the NCAA this year and the fourth-best in the world."


UT-Tyler: "Summer Grubbs, a 2020 All-Lone Star Conference first team performer, broke her own school record in the 400 meters, taking a full second and then some off her previous best with a new standard of 58.91 seconds. Newcomer Audrey O'Connor broke the school record in the shot put in her first competition as a Patriot, throwing 12.11 meters (39'-8 ¾") on Friday. She extended her new program-best mark in Saturday's meet, throwing 12.35 meters (40'-6 ¼").

"Antonio Chavez notched a school-record in the 5,000 meters, recording a time of 15:21.80 to beat the previous mark by a 22-second margin. The final school record performance came from Destiny Parker, who established the program-best in the triple jump with a best mark of 9.99 meters (32'-9½")."
