Freshmen Focus: Amelia Flynt
Get used to the name - Amelia Flynt will be among the state's top throwers for the next four years ... and beyond. A 2017 AAU Region 17 Qualifier champion in both shot (46-05) and disc (123-03), Flynt swept the throws in her first high school meet, the Clear Brook Wolverine Winter Relays on February 9, 2018 - 40-08.50 and 126-03.
She missed the AAU Junior Olympics last summer because she was procuring dual-citizenship in her mother's homeland of the Czech Republic. The daughter of two collegiate throwers, Amelia is off to a fantastic start to her high school career. You can read more about Amelia in the accompanying article from Katy Cinco Ranch's student magazine. [Thanks to All American Throws coach Nick Capuano for providing the article reprint.]
